3) Guest Speakers and Presenters
a. Adam Gubser from SFMTA spoke on the Upper Market Street Bike Lane Project and how it will impact effect the Castro/Eureka Valley. An overview handout was provided. Focus was on challenges creating more and continuous bike lanes, relocating/eliminating parking. Concerns were voiced regarding traffic flow, parking and safety. (see handout for full presentation)
b. Paul Boneberg from the LGBT History Museum presented an update on the development and opening of the new museum space to be located on 4127 18th @ Castro. Paul gave an overview of what the museum focus and reach would be and encouraged members to be involved. A hand out was provided.
c. Jason Freed from CleenPowerSF presented information about choosing CleanPowerSf as a choice for power generation vs. PG&E. Jason provided brochures and answered questions.
4) Project Updates
a. Judy provided updates from the planning committee on the various projects that EVNA has been tracking, including; the Ord Street residential project; the development at 2299 Market; and the extension of the Market Octavia Plan to include the orphaned block between Noe and Castro.
5) New Business
a. Rob announced a Meet & Greet for candidate Scott Weiner to be hosted by Rob Cox, Suzanne Cutts and Alan & Daren Beach Nelson on August 1st from 4-6 @ 60 Hartford Street
