As president of the Eureka Valley Neighborhood Association (EVNA), I'd like to invite you to check out our neighborhood group and consider becoming more engaged in your neighborhood for good.  Our mission is to bring people together and to build a stronger community, and we'd like you to be a part of it.

We all love our neighborhood. Whether you've just moved in, or have called the Castro/Eureka Valley your home for years, you know there's a strong sense of community here, and there's a growing sense of concern about what's happening between us as neighbors and on our streets. EVNA has been actively doing something about it: working with neighbors and community leaders, government agencies and representatives, our local merchants and other area stakeholders to make for a better experience for everyone. We can use your participation and help, too.

November Public Meeting

November's public meeting has been moved to Wednesday, November 20th at 7:00pm at the Eureka Valley Rec Center 100 Collingwood Street, upstairs meeting room. The original date was going to be Thanksgiving eve, but we're moving it a week ahead so you can spend the time with family on the holiday. Join us for elections, enjoy cider and donuts and some good conversation while we change up the meeting format to enjoy each other's company before Thanksgiving! Doors open at 6:45pm.

Consider running for the EVNA Board: Elections at November Public Meeting

November is election month, and it's fast approaching. We have half the board up for election, and there are leadership positions open. I invite everyone who lives in the EVNA footprint over 18 to consider running. Hone your leadership skills, accomplish great things for your fellow humans, work with your neighbors to make a better community - you can achieve these laudable goals and more just by serving on the Board for a two year stint! Contact Mark D McHale for more details. Get your name in before 10/31/19 to be on the ballot for November's public meeting.

I hope you will join us as a force for community good - EVNA. We are active, committed, and focused on making this a better neighborhood for all!

Feel free to reply back with any questions or for more information...or too opt out if that's your choice!

See you around the neighborhood!
