Per Section 311 of the San Francisco Planning Code, project sponsors must meet with neighbors prior to submitting plans which are subject to 311 notification.
Invitations to these meeting include the adjacent property owners, those across the street and to the rear the proposed building site. Please see all the requirements for these meeting as provided in the Code or visit the SF Planning website.
These meetings are the best opportunity provide feedback to project sponsors before they have set their plans in stone. Unfortunately, many project sponsors still fail to get early input from neighbors before presenting their proposed plans.
